Stack Exchange network consists of 183 Q&A communities including Stack Overflow, the largest, most trusted online community for developers to learn, share their knowledge, and build their careers.
It seems that the issue is using NFS version 4. Using NFS version 3 resolves the issue. In version 4 the locking behaviour is different, and this is probably the reason. I will be using NFS v. 3 for now.
