@bmike So there is nothing to easily and selectively inhibit the "phone home" on first run when developing software in the Terminal? One of my open-source C++ libraries compiles and runs like 130 test executables for every build via make(1) .

At least, for the current OS version, they seem to allow me to run my code without Apple's blessing if the computer is offline. I just fear the day when that will no longer happen, and I will be unable to work while my ISP is down. | |
