Jan 15, 2022 at 21:27 comment added Seg Fault @bmike So there is nothing to easily and selectively inhibit the "phone home" on first run when developing software in the Terminal? One of my open-source C++ libraries compiles and runs like 130 test executables for every build via make(1).

May 17, 2020 at 12:35 comment added swineone BTW, in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy, under the General tab, the "Allow apps downloaded from:" settings is set to "Anywhere".
May 17, 2020 at 12:33 comment added swineone That's what I feared. At least, for the current OS version, they seem to allow me to run my code without Apple's blessing if the computer is offline. I just fear the day when that will no longer happen, and I will be unable to work while my ISP is down.
