Most of the time it kills the screensaver when I unlock the system, but sometimes it gets stuck and this does the trick in an ssh session. +1 Many thanks!! | |

In my case, what I found was, mac was still receiving key presses. So, I just opened terminal (press Cmd + space, type terminal and press enter). Then run this command to kill the screensaver process. kill `ps -ef | grep -i screensaver | head -1 | awk '{print $2}'` . However, it messed up my launcher settings or something.
