Aug 13, 2019 at 7:42 | comment | added | Tetsujin | Recovery is always updated - you can check which OS is on recovery by holding Opt at boot, the partition is tagged with the OS version. Cmd/Opt/R at boot will install 'the latest macOS compatible with your Mac' - which is the bit that needs testing. One would assume that would be current Mojave release not Catalina, but I can't test here. Cmd/Opt/Shift/R will install the OS it shipped with. [Cmd/R would install the OS that's currently on the recovery partition, so no use for this exercise] | |
