I recently found and solved athis problem. Several mobile devices, including (including the iphone;iPhone) just simply won't connect to a network that is broadcasting wpaWPA/wpa2WPA2 simultaneously. You have to choose either wpaWPA or wpa2WPA2 and then they will connect no problem.
