Dec 19, 2020 at 17:27 | comment | added | Dami | The video does not exist. I am having this issue for a 2016 macbook pro. If you can find a similar video or any other source please mention it. Thanks.
Jul 9, 2020 at 13:20 | comment | added | Harry Wood | The youtube link isn't working. Here's a photo of me trying the tin foil solution: twitter.com/harry_wood/status/1278348548640329728 I'm covering up a VGA->usb-c adapter under it. It was a bit of a flaky solution though. I found the tin foil needed to be right up to the tip of the connector, and I tried adding various other shielding under the foil there. Wrapping another cable twisted around the whole thing seemed to help. Thanks to others mentioning ferrite coils and also grounding (maybe it needs to be a long and ideally grounded cable). ...bought a new adapter in the end tho :-)
Apr 25, 2020 at 11:55 | comment | added | Eter Wael | Hi, im the OP of the above suggestion, I found a better/tidy solution since then (it cost me 70EUR though): I bought the USB adapter without a cable (so the adapter clicks directly into your Macbook's USB). In this case you avoid the interference that is caused by a cable. If you want a cheaper solution, then in the video he is wrappnig the cable in alminium foil and he is bending the cable to the backside of the Macbook (therefore positioning the adapter in parallel to the keyboard). Put enough Alminium to make it strong enough to hold the cable in its bent position.
