This answer helped me after upgrading to Ventura MacOS 13.1 as I released git didn't exist on my machine anymore. Opening XCode and trying to install from there didn't help. Note that running xcode-select --install prompted for command line tools and that's all it did but that's all I needed

i had the same issue - running xcode-select --install fixed it for me but installing CLT manually would also do the trick!
