Shut Will one or several shut down during filevault decryption harm things?

So I have a keyboard / mouse issue; neither built-in will work.. Looked up online and people have suggested rebooting and holding "command, option, p & r"; tried it

To troubleshoot that, it refused my password when tryingI'd like to disable FileVault (still don't know why) rebootedmake changes and restart a couple times.

One thing I tried was disable FileVault manually from system preferences. Kind and now I kind of regrettingregret it since it now tells me "more than a day" until finished. Googled and found outMy google search shows I couldn'tcan't cancel and hadnow have to wait for it to finish...

What I'm wondering is -> I read online that when encrypting, you can continue using your laptop like nothing is happening. Is it and this makes me wonder if the same for decrypting? canreverse is true as well.

Can I shut down my laptop (to try different solutions for my keyboard/mouse problems)? Will that messwithout messing up the decryption process & corrupt my SSD or my data?

Also if you have any tips on keyboard/mouse randomly stopping... I'll take those too.
