Oct 26, 2017 at 7:17 comment added iwantmyhatback diskutil repair disk disk0 returned "problems were encountered during repair of the partition map" trying to restart to Macintosh HD through system preferences returned error "You can't change the startup disk to the selected disk. building boot caches on boot helper partition failed"
Oct 26, 2017 at 7:11 comment added klanomath You can try to fix disk0 by entering diskutil repairDisk disk0 (after backing up your encrypted macOS volume). Afterwards try to choose your FileVault volume in System Preferences > Startup Disk. Or try to use sudo systemsetup -setstartupdisk /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD and reboot.
