Mar 11, 2015 at 13:02 | comment | added | Martin | @Buscar웃 keepalive and continuous ping didn't work. I watched the laptop screen dim while pinging a system behind the vpn, and the instant it went totally dark I moved the mouse but my VPN and RDP sessions already disconnected...
Mar 10, 2015 at 20:13 | comment | added | Ruskes | how about a script that runs ping till you stop it?
Mar 10, 2015 at 18:28 | comment | added | Martin | @Buscar웃 I'm pretty sure it won't because my ssh sessions are set to a pretty short keepalive (60sec) and the RDP sessions have lots of continuous traffic, so there's no problem with connections dropping due to idling (also the wifi connection never drops randomly) but I'll give it a shot
