If it happens in all, it could be a problem with your power adapter or the laptop. It's probably worth checking if it does this using a couple outlets at work and at home. | |

Now I am in China, using 2 prong power connectors and I've had this problem at multiple locations and with two power adapters. I wonder if the adapters are more prone to emitting stray ground currents when on a 220V circuit. | |

The outer pins on the MagSafe plug are ground. On the actual power supply, the large metal knob is what connects to the power cord ground when available. | |
