Geezer and Carbon based biped, with a fondness for hard cheese, Amigas, synthesised noises and competing in sprint triathlons.

Unix geek at heart, Mac user since 10.4 so still a little green on some things (Dog cow? Teh snappy?), but familiar to some extent with almost every current computing platform know to man, and some that aren't.

comment Unable to Resize Partitions
please check my edits, I am not sure if you have actually installed Yosemite on the 2nd partition yet or not. At first I thought not, now I think you have. Just trying to word it to prevent Yosemite off topic flags, as I believe the issue is valid and not related to the pre-release software.

comment Is it OK to charge my iPhone with my iPad charger?
I think you had a faulty charger, or a faulty phone. The best information is at source, the current iPad charger (which is rated even higher at 12w than at the time this question was asked) shows compatibility with practically every 30-pin device made in the last 10 years. store.apple.com/uk/product/MD836B/B/… Where devices have intelligent controllers to adjust their power draw, the important thing to remember is that chargers are rated for what they can supply, not what they will supply.

comment No Simcard installed - iPhone 5
:) But seriously, it's a moving part that is only held in place by friction and a tiny sprung plate. A couple of drops could, in theory, loosen it up a little. Also, is your Nano Sim cut down, or factory nano? I had a Micro Sim on my iPhone 4 which only worked if I trimmed a mm off one side then taped it to the underside of the tray...

comment when it say “Built-in battery”, then does it mean that “battery is not user-replacable”?
In this instance, but those terms really are just interchangeable stuff for You are not allowed to mes with this if you want your warranty intact The wording may have flip flopped over time; even a battery that is user replaceable via a removable cover is built in, maybe they changed the wording to make it clearer.
