Diereses prevent diphthongs; support diacritics awareness

--

Hi. My name is Daniel.

I'm mostly active on Ask Different, where I'm now a moderator◆, but I sometimes visit some other Stack Exchange sites (more to read than anything else).

I first got into computers in 1982, and learned to program on an Apple //+. Switched to Mac in 2003. I'm not a computer pro; it's just a hobby. I hope any of my questions or answers are helpful.

comment How can I charge my iPhone without waking up my MacBook Pro?
Do you want to know why it happens, as you ask in the title, or how to prevent it, as you ask in bold face in the body of your question? Both are good questions, but they're different questions.

Sorry. You're right. Didn't see that in my clean up. I was looking at short questions and trying to make sure they all contained enough info to be answered, and missed that this one already was. Carry on!

comment What functionality of iTunes is not available anywhere else?
iTunes Match certainly has a unique approach to the feature it offers, but easy streaming and synching of playlists across iOS and Mac/PC devices hardly a feature unique to iTunes. Amazon, Spotify, and Dropbox, just to name a few, offer their own take on easy streaming and synching of playlists and (some) metadata.

Are you looking for a list of people who have done it, or how to do it?

Is this curiosity, or what do you plan to use this information for?

Great. I could also do the voice-over later, and not pre-mix them.

My copy of Screenflow isn't Lion compatible, and I don't want to buy an upgrade.

If I can invoke it from Mail and it is installed on my computer (i.e. not mailing a message to some custom address where their server sends it later), sure.

Generally speaking (I can't claim there is never an exception), I use the computer away from the power cord for (at most) one stretch in a day; the rest of the time, if I use it, it is plugged in to the wall.
