Is ~/Applications new with Lion? Not present on my clean install of Lion. But yes, you can create it yourself and Finder will give it the applications icon. Some people recommend putting apps in there rater that /Applications for security. |

Does the MacBook Air have a Fast User Switching (Login Window) shortcut key? Alternatively, if using Alfred.app, you can just launch it and type "lock" and hit enter. I could not find a built-in shortcut on the new Air, so this is one option. |

sketchy email from apple/itunes I think the questioner was referring to this story of Apple charging someone 122 times for Lion. There were a few other reports of customers getting charged multiple times. Apple started refunding those customers a few days ago. |

What tiny thing in Lion makes you smile or has caught you off guard? For me, if you close a PDF, Preview remains running until you switch focus to another app, at which point it then quits itself. This on a mid-2010 13" MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM, plenty of which is free. |

Is there a way to sync Lion's Reading List across two or more Macs? If you want something that works across Macs and iOS devices now, you can look at Instapaper. Also works with Kindle. |

Does disabling auto-correct in Lion also disable spell checking? It's multiple apps, including Safari, TextMate and Notational Velocity. But other apps like Sparrow, TextEdit and Twitter seem to be remembering the setting in my tests just now. Maybe just some apps having issues with Lion, though like I said, Safari seems to be one. |
