Does anyone have any tips or best practices for using NFS mounted directories? Do you find that there is a problem with leaving the mounts active all the time? I have a variety of servers that are used every now and then. I am worried that if they are all mounted all the time, then I will have more issues with servers not responding, and apps and utilities that walk into the filesystem in places where they don't need to be going. |

Tips for using spotlight with webpages served via https That would be logical, but I'd really like a way to opt in for certain domains. If anyone has a reference that says this an intentional implementation, I'll call it an RFE and close the issue. |

Does LED Cinema Display work with non Mac systems? Would the current Cinema display require a Dual-Link DVI connection? I have one of the last macbooks with mini-dvi, and I want to know if I can hook it up to the latest cinema display if I buy all the right adapters for it. I know the mini-dvi won't drive the 30-inch display which requires dual-link DVI, but I don't know about the 27" cinema display because it has fewer pixels. |

How do I extract the audio signal from displayport? Two things I'm look for are: 1) not having one extra attachment every time I move the laptop from work to home. 2) Better quality audio. I hadn't thought about your suggestion, but it gets me #2, and it's better than what I'm doing now! But I'll still buy a MDP -> MDP+Audio cable if anyone makes one. |
