Try brew update, then brew upgrade (might take a while) and finally the Emacs install command above. If it still does not work, try running brew doctor and see if there is something broken.

Yes, that’s the only downside. On the other hand I often had the problem that pixel-wise scrolling was sluggish. Line-wise scrolling is on the other hand a little bit too sensitive, but I also got used to it pretty quickly-

Note that the iTunes app on your iPad is only the iTunes Music Store, nothing more. You have to transfer the movie to your iPad using the iTunes app on your Mac.

comment Sometimes Safari opens with blank/empty tabs with window titles of the previous session
I suspect the problem has to do with a broken internet connection (see my comment above), but I'm not entirely sure.

I just tried to reproduce that but no success (OS X 10.10, Safari 8.0). Did you simply remove the history entries from the current tabs?

I think the problem is when the down-link of your internet connection is broken. I was able to reproduce the bug with the Network Conditioner from the Hardware IO Tools collection by setting only the downlink package loss to 100%. The preference pane is available on developers.apple.com and it requires XCode to be installed. Can you reproduce it too?

comment Prevent automatic removal of the Spotlight index due to low disk space
This behaviour is indeed pretty stupid. Maybe one could somehow include virtal memory in the free space calculation or subtract a fixed value from it so that the system recognizes the storage as full earlier.

comment How can I sleep the display from Terminal?
For some reason I don’t need escalated privileges on my machine (with a clean Mavericks install).
