For the OS, yes, but most applications from third party developers still have universal support.

The app is borderline useless, it does exactly what the short cuts do but in a gui rather than short cuts

I recommend you try Stay (google "stay for mac"). It's a great tool for setting default placements for windows, and being able to set all windows to their default across multiple monitors with one click. Might help with the window arrangement problem

the ui is inconsistent and often total different from what people expect after using windows' version

Office for mac isn't at all like the windows counterpart (it's kinda sketchy tbh)… i know this is kind of off topic, but i HIGHLY suggest you try office for mac and iWork and see which you like more first

comment Comparing MacBook Air sleep resume times
I'm very sorry, I was unaware of this exception. I find this very strange, since the majority of the power consumption of memory is changing state, and not merely maintaining the contents

comment Comparing MacBook Air sleep resume times
Although a sleep image is created (assuming that setting is enabled) upon sleep, it is NOT restored during wake up by default. The sleep image on the SSD is made as a back up in case of power failure, but contents of the ram are maintained during sleep by default, so there is no need for the sleep image to be read

Please try to avoid recommending the creation of new folders within the user's home directory, many people might want to keep a clean sorted home folder, and would prefer other solutions, like just using /bin (for example)

comment How can I record sound in Mac OS?
It's the system integration that i enjoy about it, i like how it can be used in any place where sound in/outputs can be used

comment How can I record sound in Mac OS?
Well yes, i enjoy that too, but often times it's overkill. I usually use sound flower in addition to an aggregate midi device to be able to voice chat in Skype with system sound being channelled.

comment How can I record sound in Mac OS?
I have mixed views of it, it's too full blown for most uses which just require basic system sound input, an area in which SoundFlower excels
