comment Are there any advanced options for a removable volume?
I know that hiding volumes is possible, and possibly other things that you mentioned. You can try reading the man page of umount which is the terminal utility for ejecting drives

comment Secondary display with VGA connection resolution issue with Macbook Pro under Snow Leopard
which isn't an issue as you can get a DVI adapter ($30 :s) and keep it at the place with the dvi compatible monitor, and use the vga in the place where your stuck with it (which as i understand, isn't the place where your having issues with it)

comment Secondary display with VGA connection resolution issue with Macbook Pro under Snow Leopard
to be honest i would give up on this endeavour and just get a DVI cable to use with the monitor (assuming it's supported). VGA is an outdated analog connection with inferior refresh rate, colour replication and resolution support. It's a shame to be using your awesome macbook with such a legacy connector

comment Mac Mini Server… Can I wipe it clean and use non-server edition?
You can easily use the 'non-server' version of OS X with no problems, since OS X server is just 1 app added onto the machine. I recommend you don't even bother with reinstalls and just delete the Server.app in your application folder.

comment Directories being shared without being on the file sharing list
thumbs up for the great answer, i never knew about this automatic sharing of user folders when logged as the respective user, and boot disk sharing if logged as an admin. I thought this was some freak runaway of my settings, but if it's intentional, i don't mind it.

All that'll do is make you more familiar with preference list files that you won't otherwise encounter. If you still wish to see which keys are modified and in which preference list files, go to the project's website where all preferences are listed

I don't mind it because i only usually have like 10 windows open and i know them by their thumbnails but press space doesn't hurt either

comment How to calibrate a superdrive's laser for CD and DVD burning?
I've seen "cleaning disks" for sale that are like a CD with TINY bristles that are meant to clean the lens of the laser, maybe that's what they were using

@fake name how doesn't mission control work? i personaly think it's a huge upgrade from before since i no longer have to press 2 keys to get expose and spaces at once. previously moving windows between spaces moved their position on screen but now it's constant. It's rly handy imo

What does SL have that Lion doesn't? no one is forcing you to use any of the new features except for mission control

comment Can I install Spaces and Exposé on Lion?
since your pretty much stuck with Mission Control in Lion, i may as well recommend the <kbd> option </kbd> feature in MIssion control. While in mission control, <kbd> option </kbd> click a space on the top to view it mission control, but NOT switch to it. This allows for a similar functionality to using spaces and expose together at the same time to quickly rearrange windows.
