I recommend you try Stay (google "stay for mac"). It's a great tool for setting default placements for windows, and being able to set all windows to their default across multiple monitors with one click. Might help with the window arrangement problem

Office for mac isn't at all like the windows counterpart (it's kinda sketchy tbh)… i know this is kind of off topic, but i HIGHLY suggest you try office for mac and iWork and see which you like more first

Although a sleep image is created (assuming that setting is enabled) upon sleep, it is NOT restored during wake up by default. The sleep image on the SSD is made as a back up in case of power failure, but contents of the ram are maintained during sleep by default, so there is no need for the sleep image to be read
