At any moment in time I may wear one of these hats: interaction designer, coder, gamer, educator, hacker, athlete, musician, chef, woodworker. I like to dabble in lots of things...from the virtual to the physical.

Why is Git not found after installing OS X Lion? I have Lion (10.7.3) and just installed XCode via the App store. It's in the Applications directory and not Developer. In fact I don't even have a /Developer directory. |

Is there a faster way to copy time machine files from one disk to another? After many attempts to copy my TM files to a new disk, Disk Utility and Carbon Copy Cloner both DID NOT do the trick. SuperDuper did it perfectly on the first run and didn't reduce the size of my destination partition! |

Is there a faster way to copy time machine files from one disk to another? Can I use SuperDuper to copy over the TM files to my destination drive without it repartitioning the drive to a smaller partition? The whole point is to move my TM files to a drive that has more space for future backups. |

Is there a faster way to copy time machine files from one disk to another? I'm running into a problem using Disk Utility's Restore function for this. Tried may times and keep getting "Could not restore - Operation not permitted". njmac.blogspot.com/2008/11/… seems to suggest that SuperDuper is the only one that really works for copying Time Machine backups from one drive to another. Will be giving this a try next. |

Is there a faster way to copy time machine files from one disk to another? After looking at Disk Utility again as per @Mark. I've basically decided to move the files that are currently on my Destination drive to another drive. Now I'm basically using Disk Utility's Restore function to erase the contents of my Destination drive and replace it with the contents of my Source drive. |

Is there a faster way to copy time machine files from one disk to another? My Source disk only contains the Time Machine backup. My Destination disk contains other files. I don't want a clone of my Source disk. I just want to copy the Time Machine files to the Destination disk. |
