I don't see how to get to this page other than manually typing the URL, but it does work! (assuming you're in multiple teams) developer.apple.com/devcenter/selectTeam.action

comment original iPad not charging
I never had a problem charging my 1G iPad with other cables (all official). You will be better off using the 10W power adapter that should have come with it though. When the iPad has power it will sometimes say that it is NOT charging when plugged into a laptop. This is because the laptop does not provide the required 1100MA output (see ipadmalaysialabs.com/…).

comment Does the MacBook battery cycle count reset when replacing a battery
Yea, so long as it's not within the next few years I imagine I could probably buy a new one from Apple. Thanks for the help.

I think you're right. So there's no real reason to replace the battery then... I plan on passing it down to my partner when I upgrade (probably plugged in at home). Is there any risk in the future - for example could the battery eventually prevent the MacBook from working?

I'm also debating buying a new battery for it. At the moment I get about 1-2 hours life (depending on what I'm doing) but 99% of the time I have the adapter plugged in. Given that my next MacBook purchase is going to be within about a year or so, is it really worth spending £100 on a new one?

Hey thanks for the information! Do you think that 1004 cycles is about right for two years (+ about 2 months) then? I use the laptop day and night (work and home) so it does often get drained. I'm curious as to what my old battery was at but as Apple now have it I guess I'll never know!

comment Download Xcode from developer site vs install from app store
I might be wrong, but doesn't the Mac App Store version allow for progressive updating? This would require some sort of package manager which I don't think the downloaded version would have as an upgrade on that requires a full download again.
