How to keep your MacBook Pro cool (unibody) Opening any MacBook isn't really hard, follow your model's HOWTO on ifixit.com. To clean a fan, i think blowing some compressed air would do, or just blow yourself. |

How to keep your MacBook Pro cool (unibody) I'm using iStat Menus 3, it's really neat. I'm not using any cooling pad at the moment. |

Why is the coreaudiod daemon using 5% or more CPU? Hi, No the problem goes away as soon as i plug in earphones... and i'm not using crossfade/equalization/sound enhancer, it's a normal iTunes installation. It was not this way in Snow Leopard. Apple did NOT fix the coreaudiod issue in 10.7.2 |

Safari 5.1 (OS X Lion) Inspect Element / Web Inspector always pops up and is not docked to main window I'm actually aware of that, but it used to popped in by default on Snow Leopard or it used to remember if i wanted it to pop out or pop in as a default setting. |

How to keep your MacBook Pro cool (unibody) The issue isn't with flash per se, i have many tabs that remain open (and idle) throughout the day (or the week), mostly Gmail, FB, Google Reader and now Google+ sigh, and from my tests, nothing beats Safari when it comes to cpu usage while idling. |

How to keep your MacBook Pro cool (unibody) bmike, the heat doesn't come from the power consumption as much as by the rotating disk motor. I guess the SSD tip is subjective... more tests need to be made. Concerning your suggestion, virtually anything done to cool down your system might be worth doing... so no voting required. |
