comment OS X 10.11 unable to press “allow” on Keychain Access dialogs
I also tried installing the latest drivers from the Wacom site, but that did not resolve the issue. :(

@MiKL, I had the same issue, through testing various harward configurations came to the realization that my Wacom tablet was the issue. :/

I came across this issue as well, it turned out that I had to disconnect my Wacom Tablet, and use a regular mouse (Magic Mouse in my case) in order for the 'allow' or 'always allow' buttons to work. Such a weird bug to diagnose. Luckily I didn't have to turn off any of the apps in the Settings -> Security -> Accessibility area.

comment El Capitan, Finder.app, and Fan Performance
@Dave, I had Path Finder (v5) installed but haven't used it in ages. I followed the instructions here to uninstall it because my fans were going crazy too. After the uninstall, my fans haven't gone grazy, but keeping an eye on it.

@JeffLockhart, shouldn't the hiddenFilesDisplayStatus flag be set to YES when the AppleShowAllFiles key doesn't exist because OS X doesn't show hidden files by default?

@JeffLockhart, thanks for the info! In your test, was the value for the key AppleShowAllFiles set properly after the check for the key determined the key didn't exist? Just want to ensure the key is set properly in subsequent calls to the script.

Thanks @markhunte, I've updated my script so that Finder no longer needs to be killed every time you toggle the visibility of hidden files.

@NickWoodhams, that's awesome, glad to hear this worked for you and so many others. I've trying for some time now to figure out how to update my script so that it doesn't have to kill finder, but instead simply refresh the screen by toggling views as markhunte mentioned. Haven't had luck with that update, but if I figure it out, I'll be sure to post the updated script.
