Why does Apple not support Power Nap on some of the Macs that have Power Nap capability? You'd need to ask Apple - none of us here can answer 'why' for someone else. |

What is barred circle icon in dock after install to new HD? I get a barred-circle icon anytime I drag a a new app onto an app-folder shortcut provided in the .dmg, or if I drag it directly into /Applications. Logging out and logging in again fixes it. I prevent it happening in the first place by dragging a new app onto my desktop first, where it will get its proper icon, and then into /Applications. I've no idea why that happens or how it's related, but I'd bet the same solution would work in this case, too. |

Why do Apple's latest MacBook Pros cap the RAM limit at 8GB? I'd love to know - I can't speak to the difference from personal experience; only that they claim the machines will accept 2x of their memories. Here's a blog article from OWC about their 2011 MBP upgrades. It's certainly worth an ask. |

Dropbox-like client for Macs to access existing FTP/WebDAV/CMIS storage Mirroring. Netdisk wouldn't address your need for access to files when offline. They do say that the files can be kept available locally: "A mirror synchronizes a local folder and a remote directory such that they are identical (although you can have a few exceptions). This is done by uploading, downloading or deleting files." (help.nolobe.com/interarchy/#mirroring) |
