Copying file from Windows PC keeps failing If you can't get the network transfer to work, you can download a zip utility that can break up what you are trying to transfer into chunks (like 200 MB) and copy it a chunk at a time.. |

Lion crashes on first reboot attempt, is fine on second reboot The one time I've seen this happen was when I had a kext extension behaving poorly. Have you installed anything that uses kernel extensions, like Parallels or Fusion? |

How to safely and successfully use Bootcamp? @Render All you need to do is boot into OSX and nuke the partition. Windows is entirely self contained in that partition, and OSX really doesn't even know or care that it is there, or ever was. |

Can OS X apps access my contacts even if I don't give them permission? I'm not sure how Skype works, but perhaps Sykpe already imported the contacts into itself before, so it has them already? If you add a new contact into your Address Book does it appear in Skype? |

Stripes & checkerboard pattern on MacBook Pro monitor I actually had this exact same problem with a PC laptop once. Turned out to be the LCD cable that went between the lid and the computer was starting to fray from rubbing inside the hing. |

MacBook unplugged from external monitor thinks it's still the Secondary Desktop Command + Brightness Up is the keyboard shortcut for Detect Displays, but that option is gone now in ML. |
