iPhoto events view broken after import, images missing I had to use a copy which was nearly a month old... all newer backups (TimeMachine) were already broken. I've lost no images because all new ones have also been uploaded to DropBox... so far so good! |

iPhoto events view broken after import, images missing I've tried all 4 options (cl.ly/JyW9 - german screenshot) but none of them solved it... :( |

iPhoto events view broken after import, images missing In the meanwhile I've tried to import those images into another completely new library and it worked... so I suppose the current library is broken, somehow. I'll try to rebuild it with iPhoto's own tools – using alt-cmd during startup. We'll see if this helps. |

Any way to force command line terminal to control a Mac? It doesn't work this way... the script dialog times out and the AppleScript tells me that this happened... doesn't continue. But it gave me the idea to simply issue a killall Automator after some predefined timeout - no dialogs at all. Maybe that AppleScript can be improved... it leads to the solution... so accepted. Thanks! |

Any way to force command line terminal to control a Mac? I want to gain control back... freeze other processes for a moment for being able to enter commands... then let go again. |

Any way to force command line terminal to control a Mac? I already know how to use a terminal... I'm looking for a way to open it if another process blocks normal access to keyboard and mouse. While the Automator runs the task I simply can't switch to a terminal the normal way. |
