SSD boot drive does not work only on primary drive slot I can see that the cable for Early-2011 and Late-2011 MBP 13" are the same according to this website:ifixit.com/MacBook-Parts/… . Also, the Early-2011 and Late-2011 manuals for installing the cable look exactly the same.. |

SSD boot drive does not work only on primary drive slot It is the 2.3GHz i5 early-2011 machine indeed! The optical bay is 3GB/s but the SSD is working fine in it. I would definitely test with the SSD outside of the laptop as a next step. Super useful comment, thanks! |
