comment Hidden gems or tricks in OS X Yosemite (10.10)
@mbc I mean I don't understand why it is "too broad". I think this kind of question are really useful.

@Rob Sorry, I think I haven't been clear. I think there is no reason why this should be on hold while the other is ok.

comment Why large size calculation difference: Mac Finder vs du?
@Arc676 I made a search and du -khshould count files by 1024 byte blocks. So what I thought is correct but there must be also something else. I can't figure out.

comment My computer name keeps changing when I plug it into a Thunderbolt display
Probably I solved by disabling wake on wlan. I think it was time machine's fault, who was actin as a sleep proxy. Are you still having this issue?

In my case is "ComputerName" that keeps changing. This does nothing more than setting it from system preferences. A few seconds later it will return to "computername (n)". This is the log of what happens exactly after it changes.

Do you mean this way? I have never used it but it seems this can just be done the same way with mosh.

Ah, I only figure it out now. You have iTerm2 1.0. That's probably why it doesn't work for you. I'm using 2.0.
