comment With the “small” Mac keyboard, how to simulate a HOME, END, and PageUp, PageDown key?
@Mark I don't know of another combination. You could turn on Sticky keys in System Preferences > Accessibility > Keyboard, which would let you press fn then the arrow separately.

Try control+K. (I'm not posting this as an answer because I'm not sure if I added it or it's there by default).

comment Prevent OS X Mavericks from autoquitting applications for sleep
What are you referring to as "sleeping" an account? The only thing I could think of would be fast user switching, which does not quit applications.

comment Repeated Kernel Panics & Freezing on Late 2012 Mac Mini 6,1. Help please with the Log
If its failing with all of those configurations, and the 10.8.4 image is one you used previously with no problems, it's likely a logic board issue. You could look up the machine check number in the log, but it would take some effort since those are often specific to certain processors. The best thing would be to take it in and have it checked out, apple stores have much more thorough tests.

comment Is it impossible to listen to podcasts on iOS 6 now?
Call Apple support. Since the app is their product, they might help you get an older version of the app.

Have you tried starting in safe mode? (Hold shift during startup; it disables unneeded kernel extensions)

comment How to know the duration of battery usage in one session?
Not that I know of. One way to think of it is that it is using battery power when asleep, just not as much. I suppose if you really want to ignore sleep time, you could calculate it manually from that counter and data from pmset -g log on the command line, but that seems like more effort than it's worth.

comment How do I run sudo command from standard account?
ssh is a bit overkill for this, and requires that you actually have sshd running. su <any-admin-user> would be better.

@Yar Sorry, I don't know. You could ask your own question specifically for Evernote and see if someone else does.

comment In Keynote '13, A dialog box keeps giving me a warning when I save / autosave
Is it possible there is a background script modifying it? If not, I would check the extended attributes and ACL using Terminal.

Why don't you use control-C instead? SIGTERM doesn't cause the message.

comment Why is iPhone Software Update twice as large in iTunes than on iPhone
@Mark Over-the-air updates will always be delta updates, because there is no reason for them not to be. But I thought when Apple first announced OTA updates, they said they were for point releases, which would make you right. Perhaps they just meant starting with the point releases of iOS 5.
