If I put my old mac hard disk system drive with bootcamp in a USB caddy, after replacing it with an SSD, will it appear as 2 drives when plugged in? +1 upvote it works. And accepted because this works and you were first to answer. |

If I put my old mac hard disk system drive with bootcamp in a USB caddy, after replacing it with an SSD, will it appear as 2 drives when plugged in? +1 yes I found this. I use Tuxera NTFS for write access to the NTFS file system (makes it work like any other drive attached, transparent, so much so that you wouldn't know what file system is use) and it works very well - no issues - drag drop delete rename files as usual - behaves the same as mac file system This tool is related to NTFS3G and MacFuse I believe. Cheers. Accepted answer given to @Nick as he came in first with an answer but +1 vote to you for responding. Cheers! |

Which internal Blu-ray drives are compatible with a unibody Macbook Pro? Great question - I'd like to do this myself - my concerns are if the blu-ray drive has higher voltage/current requirements than the original drive shipped with the machine - and would therefore damage the machine due to overloading of components (also wrote this point below the accepted answer) your thoughts welcome, as I'd really like to embark on this too with the piece of mind that my machine's life is not being shortened - after all such an upgrade is to keep the machine current and relevant. Thanks! |

Which internal Blu-ray drives are compatible with a unibody Macbook Pro? Great guide - but what are your thoughts on voltage/current rating - my concern is that the blu-ray may require a higher voltage/current rating that the original optical drive shipped with these machines. Could this overload the motherboard and cause instability or at worst irreversible damage - due to burn out of components? |

TextWrangler: How to do a Find then Replace: How to Specify what text to find and what text to replace +1 Accepted :) That does the job though my thoughts are that TextWrangler does not make this as obvious as NotePad++ does as it buries the Replace functionality under find and still having a separate Replace option too. But thank you @Guido Preite |
