Yes, I believe so. It's probably worth verifying with someone who's actually purchased that plan, which I have not.

If you want an Exchange account, then you will have to pay for one. One option is to get one directly from Microsoft, which is available either standalone or as an add-on to Office 365. products.office.com/en-us/exchange/… There are also hosted Exchange providers. All of my Exchange accounts have been provided by the IT department of my various employers, so I don't have a particular recommendation.

You are correct that, as of November 2014, Apple Mail does not support Exchange ActiveSync. To get what you want, either Microsoft has to add in Exchange Web Services support to Outlook.com/live.com (which Apple Mail already supports), or Apple has to license and implement EAS into Apple Mail.

comment MS Office no longer working
If you have Time Machine, you can try reinstating to the point before you started deleting files. If that doesn't work, your best bet is to delete and reinstall Office. If disk space is a problem (I'm assuming, since you were randomly deleting files), you should perform a custom installation so that you don't install components that you don't need (such as proofing tools for other languages).

comment Are there any options for IOS development on Windows 8? (Apps, Emulators, Cloud Computing OK)
All VMware virtualization products (Fusion, Workstation, vSphere, and ESXi) perform checks that are specific to OS X. One is to ensure that the hardware is Apple hardware, the other is to ensure that the version of OS X that you're attempting to virtualize is a version whose EULA allows for virtualization. You could install Windows on a Mac, install Workstation on that Mac-running-Windows, and then virtualize OS X in Workstation.

Why do you need to downsize your Outlook identity? Is it just the duplication issue that you've identified, or is there something else?

comment How to import from OneNote on Windows to the Mac edition of OneNote?
As of now (May 1, 2014), OneNote for Mac only supports saving to the cloud. It doesn't support local notebooks at this time.

comment Is it possible to highlight text of inbox emails?
I use OneNote to do what you're describing. My mail is organized by project (folder names are "delivery date - project"; ex "2014-03 - MacIT presentation"). I use OneNote to keep notes related to the project (same naming scheme for notebooks), like meeting notes or anything else. If I have an email that I need to annotate, I copy the text into a new note in OneNote, highlight the text, and annotate it there. The thing that I really like about OneNote is that you can easily add text anywhere on the page, which makes annotation easy. No idea if this is helpful, just thought I'd add it in. :)

comment Microsoft Word notebook layout - insert equation?
If you use the first shortcut that is documented there, you will get the "insert equation" box that I think you're looking for. You can type in it. If you're happy with that and not having the menu available to you at all, then that should meet your needs. If you want the visual editor, then add both keyboard shortcuts. Neither of these get you the Equation Editor's Ribbon tab, which I'm not sure if you want.

comment Reinstalling OS X on a MacBook with dead hard drive and no recovery disc
Snow Leopard doesn't ask for a serial number when you're installing it. You'll need a generic Snow Leopard (or Leopard) install disc, though, not one for a specific Mac. The discs that ship with a Mac are tied to that model and won't install on any other model. This does mean that you could find someone who has the exact same Mac that you do and use their install media, which is probably going to be more difficult than anything else. That's why I suggested going to the Apple Store and seeing if they'll install the original OS onto your MacBook.

Hmm, interesting, I can successfully import images in each of the ways that you've listed here. I tried various sizes of images and can't replicate the issue that you're experiencing.

comment Outlook DB corruption
My guess is that your corporate Exchange server uses different settings when connected via your corporate network (including VPN) than it does otherwise, and that your Exchange server isn't giving the right auto-discover settings for those two settings. You're going to have to talk to your Exchange administrator to get this resolved.

comment Does OSX Mavericks prevent third party software from having a “Save as” option?
I didn't have any issues, I just always believe in making sure that I've got a good backup when I upgrade. The time when you most need a backup is when you don't have one!

comment Ordered list with capital letters in PowerPoint?
Apologies - I didn't see your graphic. PowerPoint does provide the option to number a list with uppercase letters in the English version, which I presumed would be consistent in other languages.

comment How can I ignore conversations in Outlook 2011 for Mac?
In Outlook:Mac, there's a "send feedback" item under "help". Click it and tell Microsoft that you want this feature. Tell them why you want it and how you would use it. Be verbose: the better of a case you make, the more likely it is that it will be considered for a future release. "I want this feature" isn't nearly as useful as "I want this feature because …".

comment Easiest way to send multiple iWork attachments as Office documents
I'm sadly unsurprised that Apple Store employees don't fully understand software licensing. Before the App Store, back in the dark ages when you had to purchase iWork on DVD, you could purchase a Family Pack that allowed you to install iWork on up to five Macs in the same household (which, according to the EULA, meant that everyone had to live in the same house, so this might or might not have applied to your grandmother). With the change to the App Store, though, there is Family Pack. Now the iWork license is tied to Apple ID, and Apple IDs aren't supposed to be shared. :/
