comment Looking for a monitor for my 2012 model iMac
FWIW, I do see the blue screens when I wake up my 2012 rMBP with a 23" Apple Cinema Display attached via thunderbolt->DVI, so Apple-Apple is not guaranteed to avoid the issue. It never really bothered me though.

comment Retina Macbook Pro now has faster battery drain
It may be helping because Apple does not recommend keeping your battery plugged in for long periods of time, and this app encourages you to run it down. (Note that I have no experience with this app). See apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html for more info

comment Just upgraded to Mountain Lion and I have to buy iPhoto again?
No need to repurchase it if you have the disc. You just don't get updates via the app store

With a backup that big, you should use wired ethernet.

What do you mean by "broadband connection"? Do you mean with an ethernet cable or wireless? What is your broadband setup: routers, modems, etc.?

comment Keeping MacBook Pro on Sleep Mode for days
By running it down that far you are using up those cycles: you are using 0.88 cycles each day. If you recharge at 60% or 70% you are only using 0.3 or 0.4 cycles per day.

comment Where is the error message for a failed podcast download?
Yes, I have deleted the podcast completely and then resubscribed. When I look at the rss.xml, I see 3 references to the url: in the tags link, guid and enclosure. The one in enclosure is not URL encoded and so has spaces within the URL instead of %20. The other two are fine. Do you know which one iTunes uses to do the download?

Thanks for the info. I am getting a 404 which I know is a "page not found" error. I believe the URL is correct, so the mystery deepens...
