How do I make a window move to the left half of my screen and another window move to the right half? I ended up with Spectacle, seems to work perfect and is free. |

How to change computer name so terminal displays it in Mac OS X Mountain Lion? wasn't me with the -1 :). Thank you for your answer, I guess I'm not just looking for how to change my name in the terminal, but clearly my computer is still referenced by the new-host-4 ugly name as services like Backblaze use it. My previous MacBook Pro had a nicer name that I chose, I don't know why my mountain lion MacBook Pro isn't using the name I have in the Sharing preferences |

Sold my MacBook Pro Lion, how to reset OS installation? How do I "re-install the Lion from Apple's image over the network?" I can install over the internet? Otherwise, I'm not allowed to transfer my Lion upgrade when I sell my computer? |

Can't install glib with brew Thanks! That resolved everything! I had to run git remote add origin git://github.com/mxcl/homebrew.git after cd'ing to /usr/local, but otherwise I was then at brew 0.9.2 and able to install glib and gtk+. |

Can't transfer 4gbyte file from USB flash drive to Snow Leopard Where is Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard? I'm in the develop downloads on Apple's site and I only see Xcode 4.3.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.1, 4.3, 4.2.1, 4.2 and 4.1 all saying "for Lion". When I click on Xcode 4.2, the filename I download is "installxcode_42_lion.dmg". Are you sure this works on Snow Leopard? |

Can't transfer 4gbyte file from USB flash drive to Snow Leopard I'll try that, I had ntfs because I need to frequently transfer files from the PC to mac and viceversa, but I'll just purchase another thumb drive... |

Can't transfer 4gbyte file from USB flash drive to Snow Leopard I thought the latest was 3.2.6 for snow leopard and 3.2.5 for leopard. The problem seems to be an issue with USB drives and macs though... I can't seem to transfer these big files fully. |

Can't transfer 4gbyte file from USB flash drive to Snow Leopard When I login to the developer downloads section of the Apple website, I just see "Xcode 3.2.6 and iOS SDK 4.3 for Snow Leopard" and "Xcode 3.2.5 and iOS SDK 4.2". Seems that 3.2.5 is the latest for Leopard? |

Video backup solution in the Cloud I just received an external USB 3.0 drive and am going to try BackBlaze when I set this up in the next day or 2. This may be the best option, thanks. |

Video backup solution in the Cloud I ONLY need to store iPhoto videos externally. I'm happy for iPhoto to have 0 videos on a local drive. |

Video backup solution in the Cloud Backblaze looks great, can I easily store my iPhoto videos on an external hardrive and then restore on a new computer with iPhoto? |

Video backup solution in the Cloud @gentmatt - Upload speeds are not an issue. I have plenty and I don't care if it takes a very long time either. |

Is there a better photo application than iPhoto for managing iPhone videos and photos? Looks like rebuilding everything, including thumbnails, fixed my speed issues! I did it by simply opening iPhoto while holding down the option and command keys. |
