It's not a standard as in it does it automatically, though it's a defacto standard. They're just capturing the key events and checking to see if you hit command enter

it looks like he wants to turn off wifi and turn it back on via a shell command in the terminal. Wit the router I have at work this is sometimes necessary to reconnect to the wifi network.

if it's a common thing you can symlink both deep directories and then mv ~/locA/foo.txt ~/locB
