Mac App Store thinks I don't have any apps installed Umm, I don't know what happened. I unloaded and loaded mds in launchctl and suddenly everything works again.... I'll accept your answer since It seems to be the culprit. |

Mac App Store thinks I don't have any apps installed Hmm, something really weird came up. Running mdutil -s /Volumes/* tells me `Spotlight server is disabled.`` |

Mac App Store thinks I don't have any apps installed As we already suspected, the rebuilding of indexes and disk repair (nothing to repair) and disk permissions had absolutely no effect. Trying to wade through mddiagnose logs and maybe spot something... |

Mac App Store thinks I don't have any apps installed I haven't been feeling impatient, so I still got 20 mins left. I've been noticing my Console.app cluttering up with errors messages from spotlight. mds[36]: (Error) Task: Can't init <MDSClient 0x7f8eb68d6e70 shutdown:NO got shutdown notification:NO> -- too many objects for MDSTaskRegistry and mdworker[3995]: (Warning) Worker: Unable to fetch debug levels from server. Continuing with default debug levels. (268435459: (ipc/send) invalid destination port) |

Mac App Store thinks I don't have any apps installed Okay, I found another post that points to the Spotlight indexes (insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279751-app-store-broken). So now I'm waiting for the re-indexing to finish (3h to go...) |

Mac App Store thinks I don't have any apps installed Nope, all my app's are in the application folder. And it's not really an app, it's all apps which I have "purchased" |

Why does my MBP say it was restarted “because of a problem”? Does your Console.app log tell you anything more about the problem? |

How to enable AirPrint on iPod Touch after iOS 4.2 Upgrade? OK, can you go into photos, open up a Photo an then open the menu from the leftmost button? Then take a screenshot of this. You take screenshots by keeping the home button pressed and then pressing the power button, the screen should flash. |

How do I get the latest drivers for boot camp and windows 7 @Ralph - The Bootcamp software on OS X is a different software than Bootcamp installed into Windows. You do need the latest OS X Bootcamp software to install Win 7 |

What are the differences between minimizing and hiding an application? Remeber that you can set hidden apps to have transparent icons! Just put this into Terminal: defaults write com.apple.Dock showhidden -bool YES; killall Dock |

How to enable AirPrint on iPod Touch after iOS 4.2 Upgrade? @Arne - Plug your iPhone to your computer, then in iTunes, on the first page there is a button 'Restore'. Remember that this erases all data from the phone. |

Is “ignore volume ownership” the default for non-system partitions? Well I know that much, that I can access my Mac OS drive contents from my Bootcamp windows, don't know if it has anything to do with these permissions. |

Installing Windows 7 on MacBook Air? Actually, you normally don't need the OS X partition installed for running Windows, though I'm not sure if this is applicable to the laptops with no drives. Apples EFI handles all the BIOS -emulation for Bootcamp and thus the installed OS X doesn't do anything. |

How do I get the latest drivers for boot camp and windows 7 Yes, you are right. Windows (Any windows in this case) can update your drivers after install for you. You install the Bootcamp software from your OS X DVD and it will inform you when it has updates to install! :) |

Please share your hidden OS X features or tips and tricks @seh - No I didn't...at least I don't remember changing anything like this. This is on OS X 10.6.6, but I'm not sure if it's version related. Could also be that I've changed something while working on this SL installation, I haven't reinstalled since SL came out. |

New File Action in Finder You could always make yourself a folder acton with Automator to get the same functionality. There is also NuFile which does what you want. |
