comment Facebook app on IOS won't update some threads
Delete and install solved it. But using the app two days I have again a tread that locked up. Terrible. I might try the Paper app.

comment Mac Mini won't start, shuts down on startup chord
Thanks. Well, when the device was new I replace the internal HDD with a SSD drive. Other than that there have been no change or opening of the computer. I will check the RAM's as you suggest, but as you say it will probably end up with a service...

comment Using external microphone in Bootcamp
Of course, the USB adapter installs as a Windows sound unit and does not rely on the sound card already in your Mac. In my case the drivers was already found by Windows but I guess there might be other similar USB sound cards that need a Windows driver that most likely comes with the unit.

comment Copying one video from Mac to Iphone without syncing
I'm using an app called Fileapp Pro, it gives you the possibility to add files over a WIFI connection. There are numbers of similar apps including cloud services like Dropbox, that lets you send or sync filed with your iphone.

comment How can I extract the Mountain Lion installer from the recovery partition
Great you solved it. It's funny, I could have been the one ending up in a solution like this. You are too experienced to not try fixing it yourself but not up to date with all changes in technology. Well, having a DVD installer in the end is worth something!

comment How can I extract the Mountain Lion installer from the recovery partition
True. 8bitVet did edit my answer to add some of the missing pieces to be a complete answer. But still the answer to your actual question is that the image isn't hidden anywhere, the bootstrap part of the installer is on your recovery partition and the rest of the OS is downloaded from Apple servers. Anyway you got a running SSD with OSX installed now?

@8bitVet You don't need to worry about the recovery partition at all replacing your HDD, everything is downloaded to restore OSX. Even a new recovery partition is created by the internet recovery.

Could you get in touch with the server admin for the Exchange server? Server logs might help debugging this issue.

You might want to take out the HDD and attach it to a working computer with an USB connected HDD chassis or similar.

Are they in your music library too? Can't you delete them from there? Can you right click - Info and see where on your hard drive they are stored? Can Spotlight find them?
