comment Password dialog appears when SSH private key permissions are set to 0600
Wow, that makes zero sense whatsoever, but it sure corrected a lot of strange behavior on my system. Thanks.

comment Why won't iTunes stream 320 kbps audio across a network?
320 kbps is a trivial amount of data for nearly any home network using equipment made in the past decade.

comment What OS X tweaks, hacks, or modifications couldn't you live without?
Or better yet, remap caps lock to act as an extra control key. In my opinion, caps lock is a much easier key to use in key combinations than either of the regular control keys.

comment DVI-D to Thunderbolt - new Mac Mini
By the way, the overwhelming majority of those adapters will be used for single-link DVI connections set up exactly as you describe. I'm actually using one to type this. You don't need dual-link DVI until you get up to 27" displays, which are still quite rare.

It's fine. Those extra pins double the available bandwidth by doubling the number of pins (hence the term "dual-link DVI"). Your 22" display isn't anywhere near high enough resolution to need that bandwidth. Also, DVI is two way communication, so the Mac Mini will know full well it's not dual-link and won't try to use it.
