How exactly does the new Mountain Lion filesystem work? I have seen many articles like the one you linked that go on and on about "The new filesystem in Mountain Lion!" They present the new iCloud pane in the standard open and save dialogs as if it's some radical change in the way the system works, even though it's just a tweak to add the ability to use iCloud. It's no wonder people are confused. As a software developer myself, I have been completely unaffected by it. |

Hide username from menu bar in Mountain Lion It's not, but when I upgraded my MBA to Mountain Lion, OS X turned on fast user switching and the corresponding menu bar extra for me. No idea why it did that; I've never had fast user switching enabled on this laptop, and it only has one user account, so it doesn't even make sense for to be on. |

MySQL GUI Tools Recommendation Ah. You could always open the Structure view in a separate window. Certainly not as elegant as a true split view, but it gets the job done. I don't have any other clients to recommend that do that, though. |

Password dialog appears when SSH private key permissions are set to 0600 Wow, that makes zero sense whatsoever, but it sure corrected a lot of strange behavior on my system. Thanks. |

Why won't iTunes stream 320 kbps audio across a network? 320 kbps is a trivial amount of data for nearly any home network using equipment made in the past decade. |
