ah bummer, that explains the error, as I'm running 10.7 here and I cannot upgrade for the time being. There wouldn't be a way without the -p that you know of?

Sorry, I should have been more precise: I'm running this on OS X and the unzip -p part seems to work, but it chokes saying unrecognized option: -p plutil: [command_option] [other_options] file... The file '-' means stdin, followed by the output of plutil --help. I haven't been able to figure out either what -p is supposed to do for plutil. Your help is very much appreciated!
