3D Graphics Techniques and Software

I am an electrical engineer by profession and I want to become a scientist. I'm learning TeX/LaTeX so that I'll have one less thing to worry about when I write. I'm well-versed in MATLAB, and getting to that level with Python. I dabble in robotics, instrumentation, distributed computing, computer graphics.

Ultimately, I want to move into nanotechnology, photovoltaics, renewable energy. Then a tech startup...

comment Connect my Windows XP to Mac OS X Internet Sharing
@JRobert, Mac OS X sharing supports only WEP (40-bit and 128-bit). I have also successfully connected a smartphone. I think Windows and Mac haven't come to terms with how to treat WEP passwords (hex, plaintext, or otherwise)

How did you input the password on your MBP? 1234567890, $1234567890, or 0x1234567890?

Yes, I also tried 128-bit WEP. Still to no avail :(

comment Is there a real alternative on the Mac to Ctrl+Alt+Delete (not the “force quit” dialog)?
@Stephen, this is more appropriate as a comment on the question.
