comment Why does Cellular Data usage summary include WiFi data?
@Allan Something during the setup transferred the reset period from the old phone to the new phone, making it appear like it was older. The new phone was activated in January 2016 but the statistics said the usage was counted from mid-2013. Resetting the statistics per the answer to the linked question fixed the problem.

comment Why does Cellular Data usage summary include WiFi data?
@Allan The question was based on the mistaken assumption that WiFi data was being included in the usage summary, when in fact what was happening was the "current period" was counting actual cellular usage from a previous phone.

Turns out despite only having the phone for a week, it somehow was counting data usage from the previous phone since 2013...

comment Disassociate an Apple ID from a computer
this doesn't seem to remove all traces of the apple id. For instance, the next user who tries to sign in sees your AppleId by default, and certain apps like FaceTime appear to retain info (like recent calls) even though you are logged out.

comment How to switch between multiple fullscreen windows of same application in OS X?
I've got an auto-hiding dock too, but I can see the dock from my second monitor... clicking on it doesn't seem to cycle through anything though.

comment runaway distnoted process
Just experienced this problem with Emacs 24.5 (fix was supposed to be in 24.4) .. in my case, Emacs was showing the spinning ball and distnoted was taking almost 400% CPU (per top) and killing -9 emacs wasn't working, but after killing -HUP disnoted emacs responded to the kill.

comment How to stop OS X from trying to run TeamViewer every 10 seconds
@IconDaemon No, that fixed it. But supposing that I hadn't found a copy of the old installer, and the new version didn't manage to get rid of it, then I would be up a creek. So for future reference, I would like to understand why my commands didn't do the trick.

@IconDaemon Fortunately I was able to find the old DMG (definitely don't want to try to install a newer version only to find it can't properly uninstall an older version) and this worked, but I'm still hoping to figure out how it's possible that I can completely remove all traces from launchctl and still have launchctl trying to run something.

comment How to stop an app from running completely on OS X?
Ok, what the heck. I have used launchctl to stop, unload, and remove all the teamviewer processes and it no longer shows up in launctl list and I moved all the plist files away, but I still get error messages in system.log saying it's trying to run something every 10 seconds and is failing!

any chance any of these would get rid of or speed up the "swipe across" effect when tabbing between two different full-screen windows on a second monitor?

comment How do I access Find My Friends from iCloud.com?
Well, I actually got a bit further! I found that if I go to System Preferences -> iCloud I can actually set up iCloud on my Mac, and then "Find My Friends" actually shows up in iCloud.com ... but I'm still not able to add a friend to the list. I'll update my question to reflect the latest snag, as this is getting a bit lengthy for comments.

I don't see that Note from the link, but I just noticed the quote you provided says "set up iCloud on your iOS device or Mac". I'm accessing iCloud.com on my Mac already... but does this mean there is some way to set it up to allow Find My Friends to work?

Any possibility I could go into an Apple store, temporarily set up a device with my Apple Id, then after things are configured wipe my account from the device?
