I work at Airbnb doing iOS, and I love it.

I love cohesive design: showing that you care enough to design something amazing from the bottom up is a requirement to really get my attention.

I love little details: I probably sweat the details in everything I do—a true strength and weakness—more than anyone I've ever met.

I don't settle when it comes to The User Experience: users, at the end of the day, are the only ones who matter, so if I'm not unwavering in my determination to create the ultimate User Experience, then I'm not doing my job.

Other than that, I enjoy studying Japanese and whistling like a pro to my favorite songs.

comment How do I put music not eligible for iCloud on my iPhone without turning off iTunes Match?
This is frustrating, but I guess at least it's possible. Apple is being stupid here. Let us store whatever you allow in iCloud, then sync the rest of the ineligible stuff in iTunes as normal. I guess I'll give this a try. 90GB of music is getting to be ridiculous.

@Martín Marconcini I'm afraid not. I can't think of anything that's making this happen. I seem to recall something like this happening before on a previous system...maybe as the result of installing Parallels Desktop? I did carry over all my preferences via MobileMe, so something there is screwing things up. It has to be a system-level setting that's screwing things up...

comment Change Snow Leopard System Font Color
@Mark It's really not your prerogative to make such a judgment. While I agree that there is seemingly no reason to change the system font color, the person didn't ask for your opinion on whether or not he should.

Understood. To your knowledge, is there anything else that controls the display of this context menu?

Thank you. :) Please let me know if there's anything else I can provide, perhaps even Screen Sharing/SSH access at some point if you want to poke around.

Yes, I did try to run that command, several times. It doesn't seem to have any effect. I also looked at Default Apps. Nothing really looked out of the ordinary. This started happening immediately after I got my MacBook Pro less than a week ago. I installed my typical foray of apps, but nothing that isn't mainstream (iWork, Photoshop, etc.). I got Xcode 4 from ADC, not the App Store. It seems to happen for every single file type.

@Martín Marconcini Yes, I've verified that creating a brand new user account still exhibits this same behavior.

Well, when I'm at work, I do have a Time Machine active, but when I posted this, I didn't have any other drives connected, except my synced iDisk.
