comment Get current app from two instances with same name by Apple Script
Yes, my background is dark, I tested with the yellow background and I see the gap. So, I have no solution to this issue, except to launch Chrome in full screen, put the --start-fullscreen option at the end of the exec command in the SH script

I don't have this behavior on my iMac (El Capitan), dock on the side or bottom, so I have no idea how to fix it.

@clensam lang, In the AppleScript dictionary of "System Events" : look at Processes Suite --> the perform command, and the UI element--> contains actions, attributes, browsers, and many more.

Yes, I get this error when PowerPoint is not open. I edited the script in my answer, now no error for me.

comment How do I set a textfields string to a variable in AppleScript?
setString is a method for these classes ( NSTextView, NSMutableString and SFAuthorizationView), not for the NSTextField class.

comment Get the process id of the app, which called the service
Without foreground things, it's possible but very complicated. The best place is in the script that launches Safari. But as I have no details about the whole process, it is impossible to give a correct answer.

comment Applescript opens new window for everything when run
This is because the process name is not the same as the application. I don't know any Mac OS X application named "Tweetbot 2". The name is "Tweetbot" on Mac App Store. Check the name of your process with this script: tell application "System Events" to name of processes, execute it in the editor, look at the result. ---explanation of the commands: wait until the process exists, put the process to foreground, execute the keystroke.

comment How to get the path of the selected Image in Adobe Bridge via Applescript?
It seems that the syntax is not correct. try this set js to "tPath = app.document.selections[0].parent.spec;" -- Important, the parent property : The value is undefined for thumbnails added to the root level of app.favorites.

comment Trying to use applescript to launch cmd line 3 scripts in new tabs
Perhaps on Lion+, you must specify the tab and the window. I edited my answer.
