The default hibernatemode value is 3. The man page of pmset describes this, and hibernatemode only supports the following values: 0 (no hibernation), 3 (hibernate on low power) and 25 (always hibernate).

You shouldn't have to. It worked for me... Are you sure you're configuring your server properly? Just look at the IP settings given via DHCP to any other device on your network and copy them to your server, but change the IP to be 10.0.1.2.
