comment How to prevent iPhone SE from always uploading burst photos?
Yeah I have tried turning things off & on again, rebooting, etc. No change. Guess I could try Apple support, my previous experiences with them have been that they really have absolutely no clue what their customers are doing or asking about. But maybe I'll get lucky this time.

Yes I have unchecked both, and I am not favoriting anything. The photos are uploaded immediately after taking them, I don't even have to have looked at them or anything. They are just immediately posted to Photo Stream, about 10 to 20 seconds after I take them.

A relaunch of the camera app, and a reboot have both done nothing to change this situation. All burst photos are being instantly uploaded to my Photo Stream. This is incredibly annoying, does nobody have any idea how to prevent this?

comment Bluetooth MIDI in OS X Mavericks?
OK, makes sense I guess. But MIDI over BT has existed prior to Yosemite for quite some time, via a dongle. This is a part of why I asked the question, it seemed that it was perfectly feasible to be added by a 3rd party rather than only by Apple.

Thanks, however I don't think it's at all unusual to find some discussion, somewhere, regarding a particular feature not being supported in a very popular version of the OS. I could find nothing of the sort. I also was not asking about Apple-specific support, but support in general. In other words, perhaps there is some 3rd party solution to enable Bluetooth MIDI on Mavericks. Maybe this is not possible, but that's why I came here to inquire. Bluetooth MIDI is not an Apple-exclusive technology as far as I'm aware.

OK what the hell... I swear just 2 minutes after posting this, VLC is now opening on display 2 every time. WTF... no idea why or how. If it changes again I'll comment again.

comment How to star-rate “Apple Music” files in iTunes on OS X
Oh also another observation. It's odd that this ratings feature doesn't work, because as soon as you add the song to your library - even leaving it on the cloud - you can rate it. I guess they don't want to link the ratings to a specific person if that person doesn't feel it's worth having in their library. But then why would you rate it if it wasn't? Seems like Apple could build up a great crowdsourced ratings library if they allowed direct star ratings of tracks regardless of library status. shrug

BAH! The stars all disappear as soon as you leave that screen to another of Apple Music content. They do not persist when you return. Drat.
