comment Remove unnecessary backups from TimeMachine to get space
I've tried this locally... While it works, there's a risk if there are less than four backups. If there are four or more existing backups, it will delete them with the exception of the most recent one. If there are less than four, the tail -n +3 will list the three remaining backups, which includes the latest one. Take extra care when using this...

comment How to watch a .ts video file on an iPad
The App Store comments for the new version are terrible. A lot of the functionality does not seem to work anymore (local streaming, etc.). Also looks like the new version does not support AC3 (which I asked for in my question).

comment Safari plays YouTube videos beyond the end
No extensions. No, it never skips to the next track - I've left it running for several minutes.

comment Is there an OSX app/way to batch rename files via a purely text interface?
Do you have a screenshot of the Windows application, so people understand what to look for?

comment What does update_terminal_cwd do in the terminal of OS X
It might be worth noting that the function is only defined if you're running your shell in the Apple Terminal app. If you're using iTerm, it won't be defined.

comment Make files in `/usr/local` writable for homebrew
The important part is the -R to make it recursive. And you probably have to do the chown using sudo. For the user group, I usually use staff on OS X.
