⌘⇧+G or Go in the top menu. There is no "go button" in any Finder Window, and never has been.

comment Rescue light red Time Machine backups after El Capitan Update
I think those bars have been red since Yosemite; before Yose, they were purple. It's glowing because you have your mouse cursor hovering on it. Just FYI, next time you do an OS X install or upgrade, push ⌘+L to open the log and see if it's still working. I do this every time now. Often, the progress bar seems stopped (even for several hours), but the log will have messages scrolling by to assure you it's still working. …Or, at the very least, you can see that there are no errors and the install is probably still progressing.

comment Lock keyboard in lion
You would have to move the mouse to the unlock button and click on it, not just click on anything anywhere. If you're really worried that would happen, you could also hide/minimize the window, requiring someone to track to the dock icon, click, track to the unlock button, and click again. Not likely to happen by random banging on the trackpad.

comment How does Windows 10 run on a Mac that officially only supports Windows 7?
smoooosher, see my reply to user3439894. Additionally, I'm not asking how a given user "feels," but for specific problems, such as the one I gave in my question: I don't see the bezel when changing volume or brightness (but I can still change the volume or brightness). I'm asking for specifics, like do the volume and brightness keys stop working? Does the keyboard or trackpad stop working? Things like that. It's a relatively simple, matter-of-fact question: Basically, do the drivers keep working, or not?

comment How does Windows 10 run on a Mac that officially only supports Windows 7?
I know it's not released yet; it's scheduled for release tomorrow, so I'm posting the question now. I am 100% certain that Apple will not release Windows 10 Bootcamp drivers for my Mac; as I said, my Mac only supports up to Windows 7. I am capable of concluding I may have some issues; that is why I asked the question—I want to know specifically what issues I can expect when Windows 10 is installed. ;)

comment What would be a stable OS upgrade for my mid/late 2007 Mac Book Pro?
I have a very similar Mac (2.4 GHz instead of 2.6 GHz). Mid/late 2007; not unibody. I am currently running Yosemite. Never had to use any hacks to get the OS upgrades to install, and never had any problem running the OS, even with "the later 'beauty' introduced."

comment How can I force focus or fix a blurry and 'washed out' Apple Thunderbolt Display camera?
This definitely looks like the lenses aren't setup correctly, especially because it can focus up close. I would contact Apple for a repair/replacement. It seems like either there are moving lenses that aren't moving, or a lens element is missing entirely—but I don't know what kind of lenses are in a Thunderbolt display's camera. I don't think it's a software issue or anything you can fix yourself.

comment internet restore without firmware support
If you have a working Mac (or access to anyone else's working Mac), you can create a bootable OS X installer on a flash drive. That's what I do, since I can't do internet recovery either. Search "createinstallmedia" and you should find good instructions. (As far as I know, you won't get internet recovery unless Apple supports your Mac already.)

comment Bootcamp and Macbook Pro and TrueCrypt
Any reason you need TrueCrypt (which is no longer developed and known to be insecure)? Any reason you can't use Windows' own BitLocker encryption? Just curious.
