Is it possible to network two MacBook Pro's together without a router? If you connect them together via Ethernet make sure you have a crossover cable. A regular Ethernet cable will not work. |

What causes chmod to not work on an ssh file in OSX? You can try 400 instead of 600. I suggested 600 because that's what I have on my system. ... To make your USB stick a "Mac device" just format it using Disk Utility.app. |

What to do when Time Machine backup is taking forever? Also, if your external drive is connected to a USB hub make sure it is a USB 2.0 hub and make sure there are no USB 1.0 devices attached to that hub.
