Does Google Chrome have a significant impact on MacBook battery life compared to other browsers? I'm seeing an improvement on my MBA i7 with the latest version of Chrome 16, even though it only has integrated graphics |

How does iMessage know that the recipient is an iOS 5 device? How do you de-register a device though? In the case of activating a friends iPhone with your SIM or if your iPhone is stolen? Further reading: arstechnica.com/apple/news/2011/12/… |

Send background email alert if Time Machine backup fails Thanks - that's a great answer, however I'm hoping for something simpler, and ideally prepackaged. I guess where it could fall apart is on the emailing side, since it would require SMTP credentials to successfully send email |

Does Google Chrome have a significant impact on MacBook battery life compared to other browsers? Someone on Quora (quora.com/Is-Google-Chrome-MacBook-friendly/answer/…) just tipped me to FlashFrozen (flashfrozen.net), which is a menubar util that monitors how much CPU Flash is using on your system and will kill it system wide as needed. Hopefully this will help with battery life (& system heat!) |

Shortcuts & gestures you can't live without Ah, I guess it depends on your keyboard version. I'm referring to the standard North American English keyboard. It's called the Tilde if you want to look it up: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilde#Computing |
