Always open a file in a specific program Although often there's no controlling Adobe, you might try changing permissions to user read/write in all relevant directories, with BatChmod or similar, and trying Change All again. |

Have to reset the SMC on Retina Macbook Pro very often I understand, and unless you own or want to invest in an expensive disk utility (I can only recommend Disk Warrior, but this sounds beyond that) time to take it in. Or call - you have AppleCare, I assume. ... Unless it's a cable/power adapter problem. |

Unable to view secure web pages from one particular user account Give the new account admin privileges, copy User folders except ~/Library to new account, (which I give same password as mine) confirm it's working, Repair Permissions, Restart, log in with new account. (BTW, automatic login should be Off.) |

Requirements for backuping large OSx to some larger external storage? Some easy Apple way to do it? Firewire seems less and less supported, tho it's faster. And, try Arq from Haystack Software for automated backups to A3. |

How do I get a refund after purchasing an app from the Mac App store? My experience has been an email from the iTunes store, they look you up to see if you've done this alot, asking for refunds--in my case, it was hitting the buy button for a dreadful $10 app in error--and the charge was immediately reversed. |

How can I opt out of updates for one app when using the App Store? Well, Apple lied, didn't they. Good thinking. Editing the Mac App Store plist would probably also work. |
